Living with a Blue Jar

I'm exploring a new interest in still life and asked my friend if she had any interesting objects to paint.  As she opened several cabinets that contained a plethora of unique objects, I spotted this blue and white jar and it jumped into my hands quickly.  I love blue and white china and I thought the shape of this sugar jar was fabulously designed.  Of course it called for flowers and the Wolf Kahn book under it was a perfect fit for me.
