I spotted this joyful group of yellow flowers in the middle of a wetlands scene and was immediately attracted to their bravery growing in the mud with alligators, water birds, and marsh grasses. My daughter, Amanda, loves this painting. She was my joyful surprise after her two brothers, so her thoughts helped me select a name for this piece.
